Quran is the ultimate book of our Lord, which contains words of our Lord. Through Quran, Allah (SWT) has guided the mankind to be on the right path always. There are two channels which through which our Lord has chosen to communicate with us. Either through Holy Books or through messengers.

Quran is the last book of our Lord, and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the last Prophet. Quran is a miraculous book. Allah (SWT) always granted his messengers with extra-ordinary skills / miracles depending upon the era in which they were granted Prophet hood. For example, the people of Moses were too much into magic and so Allah (SWT) granted Moses with the same powers but in greater magnitude.

Similar is the case with Jesus. Allah (SWT) granted powers of medicine to Jesus since the people of the nation of Jesus had excelled much in medicine. At the time of Muhammad (peace be upon him) people of Arab were too much in poetry and literature. Therefore Allah (SWT) granted Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with the same power but greater in magnitude. This power or miracle was presented to him in the form of a book. This book is called Quran.

“We shall show them Our signs on the horizons and within themselves until it will become clear to them that it is the Truth. Does it not suffice that your Lord is Witness over all things?” Qur’an:41:53. Allah (SWT) communicated with his mankind for the last time through Quran. It contains messaged for humankind till the day of resurrection. That is why human beings are asked again and again to learn Quran and learn their religion.

No one can produce a book equal to Quran. The words of the book can surely be judged that they do not belong to any human being. You can judge by reading the Quran yourself. It contains the knowledge beyond the imagination of a normal human being. Allah (SWT) asked the non believers to produce a book like this if they thought it wasn?t word of Allah (SWT).

When Muhammad (saws) first became the prophet of Islam, he presented his people with a challenge: “compose a literary work on a par with this Quran that I have brought you and you will prove that I am a liar.” Non believers had not succeeding in producing any word like it. However the challenge of Quran reduced and Allah (SWT) asked the non believers to produce a verse like it if not the whole book,“compose only a single verse comparable to this Quran and you will have won.? However, the non believers did not succeed in that even.

Allah (SWT) has made Quran learning and Quran teaching extremely important for the Muslims so that they may not be detracted from the chosen path. Quran is the ultimate reality and Muslims should learn what their Lord wants them to do. Except Quran, you have many other channels to learn from. The second channel is through the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
