Online teaching
Love teaching, do you? If nothing gives you more pleasure than delivering instructions in the most articulate manner possible to young receptive minds that follow your word as gospel, then teaching is just the career for you. And now, consider this scenario:
You slept late the night before returning home from a late dinner. You set the alarm for 5 am, nonetheless. Sleep hangs heavy on your eyelids as you wake up to the frightful ringing sound of the alarm. You rush through the morning’s ablutions, packing your kids’ lunch box, fixing their breakfast, seeing them off and then rush out of the house in the nick of time to be faced with a huge traffic hold-up. That’s when you remember, you forgot your test corrections on the kitchen window sill…
Now contrast the above scenario with the following:
You returned home late the previous night and forgot to set the alarm. Your kids wake you up. You smile and sing while preparing their breakfast and wave them goodbye cheerfully. Now where did you put away the corrected test papers the night before? You’ll find them, no doubt. You look up at the wall clock. Just one minute to go. There’s still time to go and get your coffee and get the music going as you reach out for the button…
So, which set-up is the one you prefer? If it is the latter then you are definitely in the market for online teaching. Think about this: in the privacy of your home you have the luxury of attending to each student individually. No more shouting at the top of your voice in the classroom. No more trying to capture the attention of each student while juggling your words.
