Noynoy: Can he Lead and Serve?
To some Noynoy is the best choice, being in the lineage of heroes. To me, he is a big fluke and a quack. Such big words I have used to describe this man, because as far as I can see, he is living behind shadows of people long gone and their cause, so he can boost his campaign. Only in the Philippines will you see someone elect a candidate because of dead people who were greats, and not because of this candidate’s accomplishment and character. Some of my countrymen are really gullible and a good sell to this, and they fail to realize the point, that the Cory magic died along with her. There is nothing to fight. It was over way back in 1986. people are merely trying to relive the past and keep on ignoring that this guy did nothing and will still keep on doing nothing once he becomes President. I shudder to think what kind of President he can be, when he can’t even challenge the odds at Hacienda Luisita. His supporters effectively smoke screen this shameful smudge of their clan hording Hacienda Luisita Noynoy and the cojuangcos. Hacienda Luisita Noynoy is still a pressing matter, and if he were really the public servant that he is, he let loose his 2% share of the property and done the right thing, which is to give the farmers what is theirs. If he can’t give to the farmers what is theirs, how can he handle the concerns of the whole country?
