Home Schooling, an Independent Future

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

Now our Governments may have to slash Educational budgets to make up for budgetary shortfalls. Education could become more of an issue, as State Education systems need to change, whilst cutting back. This could mean a lower education standard for our children, without adjusting to the real needs of the future.

There is no doubt that those Educated before 2008, are still in the mindset that our Countries are successful role modals for the World, even if there is growing evidence of incompetent leadership and economic thinking. Changing this mindset through education is important, if we are to provide a well rounded education for all.

The jobs in the future are going to be more temporary, more technologically based, and more sustainable rather than based on the old system of quick profits, and easy credit. Educating our children towards this new reality, could start at home, as traditional Schools will take longer to adjust to the New Economy.

Importance of Online Education

Traditional students in traditional settings are also bound by the professors on staff. While, in most online-educationcircumstances, the professors on staff are quite knowledgeable, there may be other teachers available who are distinctly accomplished in their field, however, are not in a typical university setting, or not at a university you are attending or have access to due to distance or cost. The Internet has provided the opportunity for many experts in many fields to teach and share their wisdom in an online setting.

Using the Internet to attend class, research, and communicate with other peers teaches skills in technology use that is critical in the 21st century business community, particularly with those that involve colleagues globally and across time zones. Furthermore, online participation and communications is considered economical, less intimidating and preferred for those with busy and demanding schedules.

While our traditional learning institutions will never go away, it’s easy to see why a growing number of people are attending cyber classes. Simply put, online education offers an attractive mode of learning to those seeking quality and time sensitive flexibility in an educational environment.
